bub2006 Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 I think I'll have to be pulling the driveshaft out again to swap inner part then if the swapping of the wheel end won't work. Or just self tap screw the sat navigation to the a pillar
They_all_do_that_sir Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Your mileage will probably increase faster than it should if the speedo is now over reading. Don't know if that's a concern though Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
bub2006 Posted January 1, 2017 Author Posted January 1, 2017 Not a concern but I don't like it. Need to rectify it. I'm wondering if the speedo drive off the scrapper will make it read better. It's got the inner cylinder off scrap car but cogged wheel from c15, cog off the other one may help.
bub2006 Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Right. Plan of action today is to nip to Scrapyard and get the speedo drive end to try and bring speedo closer to the true speed. Also have fitted the screen on the dash for rear camera and the camera will be fitted today to hopefully. After the clutch change I need to adjust the cable as it's very close to floor and difficult to engage second or first.
Eddie Honda Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Now to find some packaging... The cost was negligible as I got those plus a set of 4 Jazz flaps, Jazz carpet holder, Jazz 3.5mm AUX socket and 95% of the wiring and a cigarette lighter for an Ayrton. (Volvo OSR door cost me twenty) Was someone else looking for rear doors?
bub2006 Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 That's great. Bloody cheap too for all those bits. In other news I've got the screen on dash and rear camera fitted. Also have the sat navigation wedged in front of speedo as it has died completely
Tamworthbay Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 You should have said you needed a bumper corner, I am sure I saw one on the A38 (dons helmet, whistles and walks away slowly).

bub2006 Posted January 4, 2017 Author Posted January 4, 2017 Does anyone happen to know where I can get cables made up? Speedo snapped now and it's not available at motor factors and is NLA at citroen either. I'm in Derby so more local the better
mrbenn Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Heard good things about this lot, but you'd have to send away for it: http://www.speedycables.com/
The Moog Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Why do you need to sort the speedo out Bub? If you have got the sat nav is it something you can leave for a while? Eddie Honda 1
Eddie Honda Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222340413871 Any good? Theres a listing for a genuine C15/CX with part number 75513020 which might be useful for cross reference. Alternative http://www.speedograph-richfield.com/ localish to you. Is it easy to remove? bub2006 Posted January 4, 2017 Author Posted January 4, 2017 Why do you need to sort the speedo out Bub? If you have got the sat nav is it something you can leave for a while?I don't like nor trust sat nav speeds. I know they are more accurate but I'm just peculiar. Thanks for links too folks. The arse rot needs fixing double time before anything else though after I wired in rear camera yesterday. Looking a bit ropey..... purplebargeken and The Moog 2
bub2006 Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 Well I'm so glad I fixed the van. A friend put me into someone moving house. Done 3 hours work with it and deducting trailer etc it's more than covered cost if bits. beko1987, privatewire, mrbenn and 7 others 10
bub2006 Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 It's done an no death purplebargeken and dean36014 2
dean36014 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Must admit i'm loving having a van too. If I'd known how cheap the insurance was I'd have done it ages ago. Always had a soft spot for the C15, used to deliver the motorhome versions when new and an old boss had one as a company run about. Great work on getting it fixed.
bub2006 Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 It's all going to come apart again at some point for speedo fix. I haven't got any hours at work next week so really need to get some jobs in else I'm screwed
bub2006 Posted January 5, 2017 Author Posted January 5, 2017 As for insurance, I pay 35 a month less than I paid on the kia for goods in transit, hire and trailer cover purplebargeken, dean36014 and Lacquer Peel 3
dean36014 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Saw this on ebay. Brand new rear door for a bargain price http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222366433399
bub2006 Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 Rear doors on mine are actually in good form. Seals aren't the best though. And the driver seat has nearly bust now.

I haven't got any hours at work next week so really need to get some jobs in else I'm screwed Bub, how do you get your business, is it through word of mouth only? I'm confident that if a few of us here pooled our resources regarding a website, a little SEO and some marketing expertise, you could potentially be a lot busier.

I had a custom cable made up by Speedograph Richfield, quickly and cheaply. I too had heard good things about Speedy Cables, but they never replied to my email
