They're a lot of car for the money, I've had a few and rate them pretty highly. Very comfy and pretty reliable, gearboxes can be fragile, and the clutch and slave cylinder is an arse to do, although they do have a hinged subframe to help access. Check for timing chain rattle, and headgaskets can go.Mine were pre-GM, not sure if the quality suffered on these later ones.

Looks great! Haven't regretted buying ours so far, touch wood!Make sure you religiously change the engine oil every 6000 miles or 6 months.

My dad had one of these, although it was only the LPT version in lowly 'CS' trim (damn company cars lol) I was insured to drive it when I was 17 on the company policy - bloody stupid thing to allow it - but I do remember it was very quick compared to my other friends in their mums AX's and 106 graduates. THink the rule soon changed and it was back to mums 4-speeder Fiesta
