We drove through to Sanson today which is a multi junction town where u can go anywhere in the nth island New Zealand..theres a Sunday market..so after buying a Judge Dredd Annual 1982..i took a wee wander to look for the Pug 505 i knew was lying behind an empty garage..

i met a nice gentleman in front of the dead pug...and he told me to go check out the Hens .Ducks and Geese Sale down the road at No.27 as i should meet Barry who restores Hillman Superminxes..hes of interest due to the fact that he is completely blind.

His wife was a serious farm woman who also happened to drive a red MX5 and had the luggage rack fitted so she could deliver chickens...

Im going to go back and hang out with Barry and learn a few things.hes fascinating to observe..everything is down to touch and memory.

That is so much more impressive (to me) than being 'the fastest blind man on earth' and other stuff like that! Interesting how he wears a warm sweater and almost no pants... strange weather there?

Amazing, how does he do that without sight? Can he see at all (shapes/colours)?

I'd love to see him in action, presumably he was able to see once upon a time. Hats off to the man!

we think it may be diabetic blindness..so a lot of his skills are from former seeing memory..there was a wee bit of overspray..but hey..whose to criticise!..and weatherwise here...its autumn..so cold mornings..22c during the day!
