Breakfast of winners no that's not right, breakfast of the middle aged.

The bike was going to be used for the first six miles but an alternative has presented itself which involves a walk.

Just passed Sandbach on the train. Enjoying comfort while I can. Manchester to Bolton is a replacement bus.

I wish I had got a better picture of the orange coach that was doing rail replacements. It was lettered up for D. Hirst Executive Travel.post-4555-0-59572800-1474828825_thumb.jpg

Nice.  Review forthcoming?

It's bloody good for a £225 Vauxhall.  I did 120 miles back on most types of roads and the only thing to really bug me is that the clutch biting point is very high.  This caused me to kangaroo around Bolton like one of BSM's Corsa drivers until I got used to it.  I really like the colour so will have a go at polishing the shabby paintwork but won't go full Vulgarlour as there are a few big dents and scratches that aren't really worth fixing.

Inside it is in really good nick but will be improved by a valet.  On the way back I was being dazzled by the sun coming through the drivers window so swivelled the visor around.  This led to most of the clip flying off into the back when it snapped.  First thought was to pinch the passenger clip but that is broken too so time to hit the scrapyard to find replacements.

Apart from the clutch it is mechanically bob on,  previous owner before The Shadow had it serviced at MOT time each year and it's only done 2k since the last one,  they did it properly too, not just oil and filter.

I had an interesting moment taking a wet mini roundabout a bit too quickly with lots of understeer.  The tyres have plenty of tread so I'm not sure whether to chalk that up to Chineese ditchfinders or Vauxhall handling.  I was driving like a tit so deserved that.

It's  not the fastest car on the road but is very smooth,  it's very quiet even when asked to go a bit too quickly and is comfortable enough that I could have driven it all day.

The Shadow is an ace Autoshitter and general good egg,  would buy from again five stars.

I once went in a D Hirst coach. There was a shark pickled in formaldehyde sitting next to me.,

I once tried to get on a Hirst coach but he demanded everyone get off then took it home.

Bargain!  The handling on these is so very numb, but I don't find mine too prone to understeer, it grips well- I'd say the tyres are too Oriental.  The clutch cable is adjustable and the pedal should sit slightly above the brake pedal- worth checking before you condemn the clutch itself.

Don't bother raiding the scrappy for those sunvisor clips- a pair of new ones are £4.25 delivered!

Are you the only shiter to have met the infamous Shadow? I like to imagine he wears a cape at all times, or only looks at you in the reflection of a mirror.

Bit disappointed to learn he's normal. Did you tap him up to find out where he digs up all his £50 bargains?

I believe that The Shadow has visited Cavcraft in the past (and it didn't cause a black hole to open in Ellesmere Port).

Normal is pushing it he is an Autoshitter after all.

He did tell me where they came from but I don't know if it infomation he would like reveiled to the world wide web (it is legit).

That is very useful infomation,  thankyou.

Get more clips than you need as they are always breaking off!

The biting point on the Meganes clutch is a touch high and the engine is so quiet so takes me until Weds to get used to it again after driving different cars over the weekend.

From the thread title, I expected to see something like this:

Rolls-Royce-crash-04-Foto-Trevor-Porter.

Alas yeah, Vauxhalls and biting clutches and all, all fine and well and actually quite superb and all that sort of rot.

But Gott im Himmel, what on Earth is this????

Let alone responding to a Plah breakdown in the middle of a Saturday night and lecturing people about their choice of itinerary and vehicles.

I won't bother next time, it's sound.

And the route you took back was fucking bizarre, soz.

"That looks nice to use through the winter" was a compliment. I'll gaffer tape my mouth up in future, innit.

FWIW, it looks a far better bet than a frangible shithead XM.
