Hi shittArs.

I've just sold a Citroen 1.6 16v engine on e.bay!

Like a twat I only quoted £30 for delivery. are there any cheap couriers out there that will collect and deliver a lump for me for a reasonable price?

I have had some heavy shit through Hermes with a 'under 1kg' ticket on but that may be pushing it.

I like to get creative. You can send a gearbox for 15 quid, but when it comes to an engine, it is half pallet time!

Take it in the post office wrapped in bubble wrap. Don't bother taking the oil out first though. Couple of stamps and you'll be ok.

It's going from Stoke to Malvern so I may just stick it in the boot an do it myself!

IIRC you can do an engine on a quarter pallet. I arranged one for the last eBay tosser that dicked me around!

Can't you just say to the buyer that your pet cat has had a hernia so has to go to the vets so you can't be contacted for at least two months.

Or you could use the engine exploded into tiny pieces when you tried moving onto a pallet then advertise it again on eBay.

It always seems to happen to me that way if I win something.

I won a set of secondhand 15 inch wheels and tyres on eBay a few months back for £50 they were nothing special but we're OK for winter wheels and tried contacting the owner but couldn't get a reply and it was pickup only so wanted to know when was good for him for me too pop over to collect?

Then I week later I get an email from eBay saying the item was cancelled due to the product being out of stock so there's always that option.

I wouldn't mind but the same wheels went back on at £50 with a no reserve starting bid and I won them again but the seller sent me an email saying he wouldn't let them go for that but I can have them for £100 if I didn't go through eBay so I didn't go ahead with the deal but with feedback of 50% I should of known better.

I finally got the another set the same though for £20 buy it now from a really decent eBay seller who told me to just put the money through his letterbox and pick the wheels up around the side of his house as he was away.

I imagine I will still have them sitting in my garage in 20 years time as I'm too lazy to jack the car up now lol.
