Needs to support USB OTG which is quite common (Samsung stuff does seem to, just been using a mouse on my S7 Edge as I was bored) but also external camera support too which is rarer.

Maybe that's it then. I tried the one I bought with a galaxy s3, s3 mini, tab3 and a couple of other random tablets (acer iconia was one, other might have been a hudl) and it didn't work with any of them.

 

The £40 windows 10 linx tab I bought to do car things with (my picoscope is windows only and laptops are a pita when you are sat in a car) works it perfectly though.
