320touring Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Due to the Toledo of Dreams arriving at Touring Towers, something has to give. 1994 Peugeot 205 1.8d 3dr £500 ono 108k miles Mot Nov 5th 2016 Recent work completedNew Front Discs and PadsBrake fluid changeOil service inc filter 500 miles agoBMW fuel filter fittedAll engine bay fuel hoses replaced I bought this with the intention of running it as a daily for my work(I need business insurance so I can use my car for work) Its a very clean car, pulls well in all gears, and is happy to return north of 50mpg in everyday driving. The engine is strong and gearbox is smooth and the clutch operates cleanly. The new front discs/pads and fresh fluid means the car pulls up well and square-no squeals or shudders from the brakes. The car starts happily from cold, coolant seems decent and no overheating issues Interior is in great condition- no real damage to seats, and dash/doorcards in good conditon Known faults:Track rod ends need replacing (I have the parts, just not fitted yet).Gearknob has snapped into several pieces. Not uncomfortable. No spare tyre Spare parts:2x Gti rear dampers2x track rod ends I have the v5 in my name, and welcome to facilitate test drives Pictures Cleon-Fonte, catsinthewelder, Cavcraft and 2 others 5
Cavcraft Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Lovely, sadly not for me at the minute but might be worth mentioning what pump it has.
320touring Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 tis a Lucas! aye its a nice wee car- just been usurped by the Toledo:( Cavcraft 1
Cavcraft Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Like probably all small cars they look the fittest in 3 door format. 205s diesels have pretty much always made a good price, and rightly so. chaseracer and 320touring 2
chaseracer Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Decent brakes were the first job on mine too, plus going up to 14" wheels and 165/60 rubber. Made a hell of a difference. Cavcraft and 320touring 2

2MB Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Decent brakes were the first job on mine too, plus going up to 14" wheels and 165/60 rubber. Made a hell of a difference. Can vouch for that. Made the steering much easier at parking speeds for some reason as well chaseracer 1
320touring Posted August 29, 2016 Author Posted August 29, 2016 Can vouch for that. Made the steering much easier at parking speeds for some reason as wellAh yes- this one is endowed with power steering!
catsinthewelder Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I had one just like that but with two more doors and many more dents. Arrived via freecycle and patched up for a test, popped it back on freecycle as it was too small for 3 kids a couple of years later when I got my first BX (on freecycle needing an MOT). I regret getting rid of it as I loved it to bits but the BX led me here so it's all good.
