Throw the turbo away and sell it to a n LR series fiend who wants a diseasal.

Find a V8 ferrit!

There is a turbo sitting in the back of the series landie, apparently it was fine just fitted the engine without it.

Yeh it always seems a bit of a pointless operation . Must be hellish noisy too being a di but no performance to make up for it .

Why the turbo deletion, is it for clearance or is the torque too much for the drive train?

Makes for easier figment without moving the rad panel and yes it helps protect the rear half shafts I think

They say it's easier to fit, less plumbing, kinder on the drivetrain etc. I got the whole lot in mine including intercooler without cutting or moving the front panel.... They do kill gearboxes but you just have to be sensible. On series diffs mine would pull away in third and wheelspin if you gave it too many beans.

My experience of a few un-turbo'd Tdis are that they go OK for a N/A diesel but are very noisy. The old 2.5 LR engine does the same with less fuss. OK not as good on fuel but if you are worried about fuel economy maybe a 40+ year old farm truck isn't the right vehicle for you.
