Original for me, that's what Volvo spent loads of money making and developing so stick with it.

I get that totally but the dash pad makes the whole thing look really dark and dreary.

What about re trimming the dash pad in a lighter coloured vinyl? It doesn't absolutely have to be black, grey or whatever.

The cars a bright colour so what about red/burgundy or even cream or white?

No ABS, no safety cell, no airbags, no crumple zones, just a hard foam pad with fairly hard plastic outer shell. And a grab handle lol+++++

Wasn't Volvo one of the first manufacturers to use padded dashboards for safety's sake, shortly after the Americans began using them ? It would be a shame to lose such a feature.

What lose the Americans? That has some degree of merit (obv not ALL Americans, we'll keep the blondes with big norks and long legs).
