No... Don't give me a rocket!

Off, after lunch, to see MrStation@Chester and relieve him of his current worry (... that he might scratch it!!).

I have packed my 'auto survival' bag + ciggy tyre pump.

GreenFlag is changed over today so - fairly flameproof :)

Meeting up at 6PM, after he finishes work. Really looking forward to my 3hour 'extended' familiarisation drive.. Might even be using the lights by the time I hit Durham.

Wochh disspace

I like to think that in 3000byears, his thread will be unearthed, and it will cause as much puzzlement as hieroglyphics..

God speed young warrior!

Young MrStation has 'pinned' his location over to my phone.

No Escape now ;)

I don't really know what you're doing or saying, so pick one of the following options:

1. Congratulations!

2. Commiserations :-(

3. The sound of a nun gently licking an emu's neck while the Bolivian army cycles past on Raleigh Choppers in the wrong gear

Well then!

No rust.....

Top engine oil leak which has effected a 'BMC subframe rustproof treatment' over most of the engine & box.

*hence* No rust.....

It is a carb not EFi.

It goes like a train & drinks like one!! ;) lol

All electric & ALL work. Massive [dont use the word large] glass tilt/slide..... ran all the way home on tilt.... it sucks a massive blast thru the face vents + you can hear the truck engines as you whoosh past!

You can't hear anything else as it is virtually silent.

Following SiL in his 65 derv renner, he was chopping up the traffic along the motorway 70-85-70-85 and I was tailgating him.... The car is, indeed, virtually silent until you whack its arse >> the rev counter/velocity/boombox all explode in a quite addictive manner. Must exercise restraint, lad :)

I thought it would be 5x100 hub nut but it has only 4 (I know cos Station has lost a wheeltrim). I am on a search for 6.5J14 replacement wheels & new tyres... 4 stud might broaden my choice from the breakers ;)

High level brakelight and new number plates will keep me going for now....

I like it and feel fortunate (and the car likely, too) to be custodian rather than going to OvalFodder.

Brilliant. I really should have bought this instead of the Colt!

On another forum I've seen an Emoticon 'waving my arse!'

Consider your self 'waved' M8 :)

It IS that good....

Where are the pictures? I need to know if it is as good as I thought it was, which may lead to complete despair when I realise that I probably should have bought it.

Maybe I should leave this here until pictures are posted up, just so that we can wet our appetite for the acres of grey that we may be about to see.

PS: That may be a great title for the thread on this if it ever needs work done on it, which is unlikely as it is a 90s Toyota, but still worth a mention.

This thread is useless without pictures, preferably selfies featuring half the face of the happy new owner !

And half the car as well.

.... and the last is my new chariot, out in the wilds of sububandom. AND I'm already picking parking spots to minimise the likeliehood of some twonk 'cleating' the doors...

Think it was a NEW ONE :-P

**Worry/Paranoia ALERT**

I popped my front door open and appeared abruptly in the street - happens in terraced property - to find two of Wallsends lousiest roaches a few steps along the street, but near the car, and they got a shock at my sudden arrival.... She went all 'he sais/she said' to the boyfriend and sort of mocked up the 'oh shock scene' and then embraced... I was sitting in the car by now and could see the starcrossed lovers beady eyes on me, through the door mirror.

She turned away and ambled off up the street, followed by dweeber, and she tried the door handle of every car to the end...

**ENDED**

.... nah.... really??

I have thus far ascertained there ARE hubcenric rings 54.1 to 57.1.... meaning I can rummage thru the VW mountain of choddery (no scene tax) and try 14X6J, ET38 4x100 RONALs and such..... :-P

Nice SEAT rims [same] are out there... 14x6J, ET38... as VW.

.. don't really want alloys so Jettas have 14x6J steel... but not so easy to find...

Ooof!
