I've just had a scary thought. Now I own an Audi does it mean I need to drive at terminal velocity with high beam on or doesn't that apply to older models?

You definitely have to cut people up if they're driving lesser cars and brake check hgvs.

Alloys are lovely and the hankook tyres have lots of tread......

Do you know what caused the problem? If you are lucky it's just a puncture.

A big thanks to ken for taking me to sort spare out. Should be on road soon.

Are you stopping off here for some food? If you are let me know what you fancy to eat and I will get it ready or go out and get stuff.

No food thank you just a glass of water. About 120 mile away atm. Not left the side road yet!

Today on spring watch we have found the lesser spotted Audi a4 b5 in its natural habitat. The motorway services while the driver runs off for a piss

Bub is indeed moving again, just phoned me as a plum of a copper was weaving through traffic in front of him. Traffic allowing he will be at mine in less than an hour.

Tamworth accomplished. The a4 is a great cruiser. Very quiet too. Seats aren't as soft as the xantia but what can I expect! Tamworth bay is wollarding the wrong motor

Not actually sure whats going on here. The Green rover is back with Ken? and the Audi.... Where did that come from?

Guess that is what happens when you dont log into this place for over 24 hours.

Basically I picked rover up from stoke, took it to Chelmsford and bought Audi back. Lost cleon fonte and I spent the night in a rover

I thought the Audi was JohnK's...

Shall I explain?

Ok then..... pay attention at the back, yes, YOU boy!

I sold the Toledo. JohnK bought it and px'd an A4. I under the justifiable guise of cutting the fleet due to ill-health, then put a deposit down on a lovely AS car. more of that later.

I then had an offer made to me on the Rover which was way too good to refuse, plus I missed that little green car.

In the interim before all of this came to be, I bought a Golf to tinker with. Slowly and steadily like. Well, it was only 99 pounds. Ok, so it's a Mk3 but what the heck.

So. I now have a Rover 214 (again), a mystery AS car :) and a Golf.

Seems like I can't cut down the fleet even if my health required it to be so.

I may be fucked.

So. Bub picked up the Rover for me, this enabled him to travel down to collect the A4 from me as it is more useful to him than to me. This also enabled Bub to collect some Triumph bits from me to take to Tamworthbay.

The rest is history.

I'm honestly none the wiser and I've read that three times. Seems like everyone that complains that they have to sell all their cars, buys more cars? Which is of course to be commended. Hope everyone had a great day.

Bub has left the building, we managed to persuade him to indulge in a cheese and tomato sandwich or two and some more crisps (he must suspect my cooking as the offer of burger and chips was quickly sidestepped). Last leg for him, well sort of as he is going via the xantia to get some stuff. There was even time for me to bodge the two gear lever gaiters together to make that almost fits.

The better one was for an A4 (b5). Honest.

I anticipate disaster happening :D

Given the trials and tribulations of just collecting the thing, plus Bub's legendary bad luck, don't jinks it further by saying things like that :D

And finally, D. Why the fuck has that rover got a bubble dash in it?? I thought that only the tourer got that treatment.

It doesn't have an R3 dash

Right just to clarify I rarely do over 150 mile per week now. Considering 30 mile per day for 5 days of that is commuting to work. Reason why I have to get rid of xantia is like I've said before the clutch is so heavy. Its manageable but not in stop start traffic for over half of my home commute. I cannot use public transport to get to work so need a car which leads me back to getting the a4. I haven't time to fix the car but if it wasn't for the clutch being so heavy I would have tried to sort it. Its the final thing if you get me? As for maintainence of xantia it had two oil changes in 9k new fuel filter etc. It wanted for nothing. But as I said the mileage has plummeted due to work. I think the a4 will be OK. Fairly basic engine like the xantia but better mpg, cheaper insurance and a lighter clutch!

And the rover hasn't got a bubble dash, looks same as all the other 214 and 414 I seen?!
