Good car websites?

There's an American website called Hooniverse, but one of the guys who writes for it is a Rover-driving cretin from Essex.

Truth About Cars - does anyone need to know about the 2016 Plymouth Cadillac Koreanomobile?

Some of us find it interesting, so yes.

I use to go on all sorts of different forums under various different alias as my cars have changed; Old Japanese Car, ZXOC, Opel Manta OC, (200)SXOC, Retrorides etc.

I only really come in here now and then mostly the eBay thread. Seems obsolete somehow, kinda ironic given autoshite's focus on old cars.

I have to agree with vulgalour's post. It's true of all forums, not just car sites. I've watched many forums either get ripped apart by fighting (Manta OC) or fade away as (ZXOC).

I'm still interested in new cars but not as much as I was as a child lapping up Autocar, Evo and Integra Type Rs, 306 Rallyes and the like.

Autocar is mostly drivel now, their road tests don't grab me and some of their writers are a bit "Troy Queef".

The long term tests in a lot of magazines are pathetic too, sometimes only 6 months.

Only really like Autoshite. US site Barn Finds is an amusing read. Used to read Curbside Classics a bit.AROnline seems to have stalled, which is a shame as the articles on prototypes were fascinating 'what ifs'.

I find that I can't really relate to most motoring stuff as it's things I'll never afford and people who are a bit precious.

Renner goodness.

Prototype looks like a Volvo 480.

If you like Vauxhalls then Vauxpedia is the dogs doo-dahs. A bit like Aronline but with more depth on the older models and some biting commentary.

Wow, that web design is...... unique.

Excellent content though, thanks for the tip!

+1 on Ate Up With Motor - I love the long, in-depth stories - a bit like AROnline in the early days, but new articles are a bit few and far between at the moment.

http://www.dailykanban.com was set up by Ed and Bertel from TTAC and can have the odd gem of industry gossip.

Honest John's Back Room forum has been going for yonks and still seems to be going strong.
