Radio Wiring Reversal?

I've bought a single DIN Ford FX3000 headunit for the Granada to get it looking more like it would have done when it rolled out of the showroom in 1990. I removed the aftermarket headunit (held in by screws ??) and found an ISO connector. I pulled the loom out further to be greeted by a sea of blue electrical tape and lots of snipped wires :-(

I know you can get Ford to ISO wiring harnesses, but does anyone know if the reverse harness is available?

I know not much about electrics and don't really want to go pulling all the connectors apart if I can help it.

Have you got the original Ford connector? just rejoin all the same colour wires, or go cut a connector out at a scrappy & do the same.

Use a set of chocolate block connectors- connect ends of same colours in each side.

Failing that, auto leads do replacement or plugs but they cost £££££.

Also beware that the Mk3 Granada has an amp mounted behind the wood trim in front of the passenger seat, odds are if it has had an aftermarket head unit fitted this has been bypassed and all the wiring to it snipped as well.

You can see the wiring for it here, just before I hacked the plug off...so apologies in advance to the next owner looking to put it back to standard..

Can we see some more shots of the interior of that car? It looks a bit nice

I only have the pics that were on the for sale as when I bought it, but it is surprisingly nice for a 220k mile car

Some random between the seats shot that doesn't really show anything but I'm filling out space here

Mine has the amp under the stereo where your Ford CD player is. I'll take it out and have a look to see what the state of the wiring is

I have that car seat in my car

I wish to fuck my car had that interior...

It might look like a nice place to be, the truth of the matter is I spend more time lying underneath the fkin thing than sitting in it

It's been a non stop problem child from more or less the moment I picked it up and if it doesn't buck it's ideas up soon it's days under my ownership are numbered
