Update - Romilly the Rover 214SLi

I thought I'd give everyone an update on Romilly.

So I bought Romilly as a mothers day present for my mother, and she has completely fallen in love with her. And as she gets driven more and more all those little niggly problems (like cold start problems and IACV sticking) are fading away, but new problems have arisen.

Perished tyres - replaced

Blowing exhaust - replaced

IACV - fixed itself

Cold start problems - fixed itself (engine is running absolutely lovely at the moment)

Very little heat coming into the cabin - getting better (slowly)

Wheel wobble at high speed - gone (due to new tyres and balanced wheels)

New problems:-

Fan speed switch snapped off (a pair of pliers is now being used)

Drivers front window regulator motor broken (and window has also detached from the runner)

Also as of 12:30 this afternoon, she has a new, fresh 12 months MOT on her with no advisories. Mum couldn't be any happier, and neither could I!

I'm hoping that at some point in the future, I can get my hands on her steering wheel and take her for a drive myself.

Lets see a pic then

Yeah, g'wan! *rubs thighs*

I guess you could do a picture of the car too, if you have to...

The only photos I have are from the day I collected her unfortunately, they are all on my old phone...

Get the coolant flushed and you should see the heaters working better.  That and a new rad on mine worked a treat.

I have to read stuff all day at work, I dont want to do any in my spare time.

If you have no pictures of the car, maybe draw some of your own, or failing that, put up some pictures of scantily clad women to break up the paragraphs as that is always a vote winner on here.

Sadly, it is probably one of the reasons that we have so few real women on here.

It needs a new thermostat to sort the heating out. Glad to hear it's being enjoyed after the shakey stay to its collection!
