Araldited?

I did that on a camper van when it spat a plug on the way to Dover. It did a nice tour of northern France and most of the way home before a hill fired it out again but unfortunately I couldn't find it the second time, the first time it was still attached to the lead.

Plenty of press about bad garages - lots of cunty customers too !

That's because Garages can't leave reviews + feedback on customers.

Try an Audi TT V6.... Took about ten hours to change 5 (customer said not to bother with the 6th!)

The coils welded themselves to the head, despite constant soaking and use of the proper coil puller I still had to smash/drill/slide hammer the coil out

The Audi Owner only commutes 2.5 miles to work and the condensation wouldn't have helped with the corrosion

Hehe, as I was reading this thread I was trying to think of my worst plug experience, it was an Xjs v12. I was at it all day, and as usual there was one tight coming out and you wonder to yourself if it's pickup up or not, so you're into in and out a thousand times with plenty oil. It makes it worse that you can't get a straight drive on them without pulling off the fuel rail etc.

In my time in the trade I have never, ever seen a plug sheared at the shoulder, Ka's, all crossflows, later OHVs and Pintos all had that taper seat which was a bitch to break but there was plenty meat on the plug so you could give it some physic. I have to admit, once I did use an impact gun (carefully) to crack a pintos plugs.

I had a Fiesta that the previous owner must have been Charles Atlas. Everything was done up with what must have been a 3ft breaker bar. Everything.

The true sign of a someone who know what they are doing is how they just know how tight something should be. Plugs need no more than nipping 1/16 a turn once they are finger tight.

Generally people are cunts, doesn't matter if they work for the garage or provide work to the garage.

Edited for brevity.

I guess I should of asked the garage to do the plugs at the same time when I got the sump done but was trying to save a bit of money and I felt a bit guilty just asking them to do the plugs knowing that the things have welding themselves into the head..

But the good news is the sump is now fitted and while at it the garage fitted a new oil filter for me and it's now bone dry underneath also I fixed the leaky back windows so it's also bone dry inside the car now..

When I got it home I quickly fitted a new air filter so the car seems to be running great and filled it up with super and threw in a bottle of redex but I will have a go at the plugs again next week once some freeze spray arrives in the post..

I also got my old Z3 out the garage yesterday and found its decided to leave a nice trail of green coolant over the garage floor so I took the undertray off and removed the airbox and MAF and found I need a new expansion tank as it's leaking from the bottom gasket and is bent as a banana so I'm waiting for a new genuine old stock one on eBay to run out so its not the end of the world as it should only cost about £25 to fix with a new expansion tank and cap plus some decent green coolant.

So at least I have one working legal car to drive out of three motors. Lol
