One last stop at Wetherby. Google reckons we'll land at about 1am which isn't too bad for a total journey of about 900 miles and the car is running well at the moment.

The grab handle is required when demonstrating* the on/off operation of the hydropneumatic brakes to your wife.

 

*On every family outing for the first six months of ownership.

26 and a half hours and we're finally home! The Xantia performed inpeccably and seems like a keeper.

Kent really is fucking miles away though.
