hope you enjoy it, and don't burn through too many tyres:)

That is very nice. It reminds me of the Buick Grand National. A VOXL NASH if you will. They're not all shit. That's just a bit of Autoshite dogma. I don't really* believe it.

* I do believe ALL CATERAZ R SHIT though... It's the closest thing to a Vauxhall I've ever seen in the metal.

Ooof. Love these, love the history.

You had a massive weldathon on this at one point didn't you?

Ahh you must be from the other side of the muddy ditch

I agree with you but not because the car is crap - it's that bloody V6 that seems to have more issues than a cheap hooker

Hopefully it will leave my care with the tyres that are on it - which are about 60% worn - I really don't want to sink too much more money into it.

It was a bit of a magnet at Snetterton yesterday - surprising how many petrol heads recognise it for what it is (they do have to be over 40 however) most people who are younger don't give an old Vauxhall a second glance - but as the racing was mainly classics I guess the spectator ages were in the right ball park

That really is lovely and so subtle compared to the childish exhausts the Germans seemed to think compulsory once they caught up in the power race 10 years later.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but as a serial Senator/Carlton offender, have you ever come across an Imperial Green 24v manual Senator with no aircon and a manual factory roof? It was an L plate and on 17" Azev A s last time I saw it in about '96.

Started life as a white Police car , my brother bought it at 2 years old , swapped the roof skin with one off a rusty D reg 2.5, put some leather in it , then spent about 2 months prepping and painting it Imperial( he worked in a body shop). Stripped the cats and it went like fook.

The bloke that bought it never noticed the lack of aircon, he was smitten after an enthusiastic test drive, never seen so much as a google image of it since.
