I've updated the title, I am somewhere on the no side of the maybe spectrum due to the imminent arrival of child.

Congrats, Dad.  Best to Boss_Q, who's doing the real work...  ;)

I'm on early turn so can actually attend for the first ever time. Is there food and beer?

I have to take Musical Offspring to an orchestral course near Ellesmere.  This is a mere eighty miles from Glossop, via the M56, M60 and M67.  During rush hour.

See you on Tuesday night, then!

I could/should/intend to be there barring work issues.

It's a lovely day here at the moment. I'm going to the cinema so will be there soon as I can, probably about half 7?

Posted

I am also running late, should be there just after 7.30 ish too. Don't eat without me!

I'm sat down the back of the car park as the whole row along the fence is free. Not seen anyone else yet...

Oh bugger - forgot this was on.

Idiot...

Was a good night except for the pub running out of steak & any puddings with cream in!

Lovely all-agro too Squire, can't recall the last one I saw.

Good to meet Squire Dawson for the first time. Lovely BL chod, too.

Pretty sure they were running out of 8oz steaks too, as my 8oz steak had been cobbled together* out of one 6oz and one 3oz piece of gristle. Fortunately the 6oz one was very nice.

A good night, though.

Cheers! Good company, good meal and good ale. Very nice.

Sounds like a decent turnout.

Baby is here now, born at 4am ish this morning.

Should be OK for next month.

Will he/her be ok for steak at one month old?

Posted

Lolz, what I meant was I should be OK for next month, as lovely as you all are I don't class carpark & spoons action as a suitable child activity.

  • 4 weeks later...

Er yes, would be the first wouldn't it. Sorry I've not brought it up sooner, my head just hasn't been in the right place.

Unless the short notice is a problem for some?

Posted

Following week would be better for me. I can't drive yet, post-op, y'see.

Posted

I forgot about this and made lots of other exciting* plans instead.

The following week would be better.

We could do one on the correct Tuesday and one a week later, surely?

I haven't had a steak in two bloody months!

With the way Wetherspoons never have anything on the menu, you probably won't be able to get a steak for another few months, either.

Come to think of it as I'm changing jobs I don't get paid until the 8th.
