Or what about Scan and Deliver? Anyway, now the usual Spottings thread is up-to-date and the Preston 1980/81 project is complete it's time to liberate more old photos from the depths of my Flicker account.

 

As far as possible, there are all mine or were taken by family (I've become the keeper of any old photo which has vehicular content). I may have had something similar here way, way back - I know I did for scrapyards - but if anyone wants to try and find those then good luck!

 

There won't be much of a theme (other than there being a high proportion of Japanese cars), but I'll avoid including too many of my own cars as I plan to do something else for them. Just sent off my first film for processing by this slightly toothsome lady, let's see what comes back......

I love the look of these. This is titled as a ‘before’ shot for comparison with a more recent photo. It’s now part of the drifting world and is rather less smart, fitted with a 200SX pop-up light front end.

Thanks Vin. Funny how what was once a relatively mundane, everyday sight can disappear.

 

Unknown about the Corona. I think it may have been here from new, but it's not on DVLA (presumably because it never made the computerised system) so we can't see the date of first registration. I think there may be another one around (vaguely recall one from OJC or RR).

Ratdat purchasing a parts donor. As I recall this yard in Beccles moved everything in this way, so not somewhere to buy a windscreen from. The place has been redeveloped for housing - wonder if they dig up bits of car every so often?

This was up near Ratdat’s. Of extra interest to me as its registration was pretty close to my old 160J (PGP422V). It was later vandalised and burnt out.

Only one of these I've ever managed to photograph. There used to be one rotting away outside a house on the way into Brentwood, back in the late ‘90s. I was half-hoping to see it on the way down to the recent AS Essex/London meet, but unsurprisingly it wasn’t there any more.
