Urgent 206CC advice please

After changing both the CPS and fuel pump on this little French tart, it turned out a fuel line was leaking, how I laughed.

Anyway finally got round to removing the offending part today and I've just hit a snag.

Halfway down the car the pipe is joined and I can't work out how to separate it, all the other connections have quick release snap connections, not this one!post-17414-0-07572500-1454502738_thumb.jpg

As I'm a heavy handed oaf and usually cause more problems than I fix,can anyone advise how this might come apart.

isn't it just another snap connection? You squeeze the black bit??

Failing that refer to above.....

Doesn't appear to unscrew, although it does spin freely.

It could be anther snap connector,it just looks different to all the others. And I've got previous for breaking things like this, might try a little squeeze with mole grips WCPGW?

Its a quick release connector , on the female part the end is kind of D shaped and there will be a 3-4mm by 10mm button you need to press in

thanks TwoSmoke, but I was already trying the mole grip gentle squeeze method!

Success!post-17414-0-94679700-1454505763_thumb.jpg

And I don't seem to have broken anything else- yet.

Thanks for all advice, this place is what it used to........etc etc.

£30! For a bit of pipe 4' long with a connector each end. Oh, and it won't be here till Friday.

This sort of shit is why I usually don't buy French cars anymore, my local Merc dealer always has anything I want in stock and I'm often pleasantly surprised how reasonable the prices are, an alloy wheel centre recently cost £13- chancers on EBay wanted £20 for supposedly genuine* or £30 a set for Ching Chong Sexton.

Back to topic ,hopefully Pug back on the road Friday.

You're getting soft or wealthy man! £30???

Cut the pipe off the connectors, get into a decent commercial vehicle factor for a bit of that nasty stiff placcy pipe, heat it and refit the ends.

At least the sod came undone, at temps below about 84' F anything French and made of plastic usually snaps if you look at it sideways.
