i must admit i am swithering as i fancy it but as we've said already it will likely go for more than the reserve.  I'd never shill bid I really don't see the point unless you have skin in the game but I guess there are those that do!  Have you seen the car or bidding based on pics out of interest?

I can't get there on Sunday so just the photos and a detailed description over the phone from Keith. It certainly wasn't my intention to put off a genuine interest, so go for it. I know how Morris Leslie work and its reserve appears to be very reasonable. I think it'll sell, but I doubt if I'll buy it.

I should be able to make it. After being told I had to work this weekend no work has materialised.

 

Just a heads up. There's a cafe near Errol with a cow on the roof. No matter how hungry you get do not be tempted to eat there. Their bacon rolls are the worst in the world by a significant margin, needless to say they've won an award for them.

On the subject of racecars, I managed a fire up (in my bedroom. Smooookkkinnnnn!!!!) of the tiny Porsche I got the old other day so expect to see it in attendance. Dunno how well it'll run as one of the diffs is cunted and some of the rear suspension could do with major overhaul. Might take it a blezz round a nearby industrial estate this evening

well I've thrown some tax on the Montego and filled the tank so fingers crossed will be there at some point tomorrow - probably with daughter in tow who seems more excited than me - sadly at 7 she is too young to drive back any purchases!

Tiny Merc is being a dick. Because it's effectively brand new and 10 years old I'm having to resurrect it and run it in at the same time. Tonight I had to tighten the head and exhaust bolts and the recoil cord all of which had worked their way loose and it STILL needs set up/ran in. Idles far too high and barely runs for more than 30sec at a time.

 

Oh and I'm bringing a ginger tomorrow. Sorry guys.
