Ah well.

Fuck it, I tried.

Needs to be one of those 'approved' AS vehicles, like a knackered Corsa or something. That'd have people foaming at the wallet.

Corsa = cheap and easy to fix. Laguna V6 = probably not cheap and easy to fix.

Hoy a can of Radweld and/or K seal in it and Bob's your uncle. When you're done, sell the parts to Clio V6 loons for many coin. Simples. Squeak.

I'd do it myself except I don't like Lagunas and don't really want it on my drive any more.

I used to like laguni but not anymore after the pair i had helped themselves to the contents of my wallet,

sorry I can't help you out and I for one will not loose any sleep if you bail it.

Lagunas are defo an approved vehicle on here. Just bad timing I reckon. Lets face it there's not many places where you will find folk who actually want to buy any Laguna, let alone a V6 one with a flaky HG.

So Corsas (sorry, CORSA'S) are good because they're cheap? That's.......interesting criteria. Duly noted.

Does anyone think it's worth putting on eBay for spares and repairs?

No one can do worse than a fud from one of the Facebook groups who asked me if it would drive back to Scotland.

Would it drive to Scotland ?

Pop it on eeebay and bumtree and give it a try, you might be lucky

It's got nothing to do with (a tiny minority of people who like) Corsas and Rover 75s and everything to do with the fact it's fairly shit car that needs major attention. There's at least two Laguna owners on here and plenty more (including me) who'd be well up for owning a useable one. I can't wait for someone to not buy my 306* so I can blame them.

I think you should fix it

I would be genuinely interested to read about it and watch the decline in your mental health as it slowly breaks your will to live. I'm goulish like that ☺

Scrap is due to go up again this summer, although nowhere near as high as it once was

I'm already broken like your avatar, love.

See, I drove a Corsa once.

There's a story behind that, but not a particularly interesting one... Involving a Renault 20 TX of all things... ☺

I won't buy this, but if you scrap it I'm going to come round to your house and do a big shit in your fridge.

Maybe you can form a charity band to put the fucking thing out of it's misery. I suggest Eric Clapton, Neneh Cherry and Cher for starters. Maybe Chrissie Hynde?

Now, a name. Hmmmm.................

But Corsa's (sic) are cheap and easy to fix.

Yes they are but they still burn.

It doesn't work.

It's a FWD V6 with engine issues.

It's French.

You'd like £150 for it.

It's got grey leather.

It's gonna cost you money to get rid of it.

If it was working (properly) didn't have grey leather, was 150 miles nearer and £300 cheaper I'd almost be tempted.

Needs to be less French, working, cheaper, and a car people actually like enough to want to take home.

These Lagunas were ok cars when they worked. About on par with a Mondeo. Thing is, they're an utter twat to work on and any parts it needs will cost more than the value of the completed car if it ever gets fixed. So you need to find someone who really likes Lagunas, has a fair few disposable quids for parts and enough time and patience to fix it. Unlikely around these parts.

You could always chuck a grand at getting it going, buy one of those inflatable air-conditioned bubble tent things to store it til 2026 then try again when it is likely to be the last Laguna V6. Then it might fetch a few quid. I'll guess at £150. If it's running.

The market for this car is pretty much limited to 25v6turbo's dad, hope you can sort something out with him, at least it might keep another Laguna V6 going.

They were nice cars back in the day.

Unfortunately the market for broken V6 Renault Lagunas was small even in 99.
