Winter time, Tagora collection time << now with engine sound and video >>

Why is it that cars that I can't resist to buy pop up in deepest winter when it's bloody freezing outside?
Why are they always parked in a muddy yard?
Why always several hundred's of km's away from my place?
Why will it unavoidably be windy and snow the day I decide to have a look?
Why does "have a look" always end up in "trailer it home"?
Why does Mrs. pshome never believe that I will only "have a look"?

6 questions nobody can answer, but one thing is sure: if all 6 criteria are met, the car will be perfect and well worth the trouble.

So I had a look at the forecast and decided to buy a train ticket for tomorrow before the weather gets any better.

For reasons only known to Deutsche Bahn, the first class ticket costs less than the hard seat, leaving me with no choice but to travel in comfort (I hope so).

My buddy Michael is already in that area for business since Tuesday and he took the trailer along, just in case…
Sorry junkman, the pulling device will be again the newish white Skoda, please accept my excuses for once again not doing this in style.

One question remains: What is it?
Up to you guys, to guess.
Hints:
-It’s not a R20
-It can tow!

It was a totally off mark guess in the hope that you'd say holy shit how did you know that?

Either that or I thought the bumper looked slightly pisshatty.

Is it a Tagora?

Posted

505 Dangel? (hopes)

Bumper looks a bit Tagora-ish to me though.

obviously more hinting needed... it comes with all documents and a nice history folder:

An invoice from a Peugeot/Talbot garage isn't much of a surprise for Herr_pshome.

Now, where's my German dictionary ...

Jeez, my eyes need testing. That looks like a part-open handbag containing some offal.

Well, how many Talbots with more than 4 cylinders are there?

only one..

1032 built, very few survivors, this one to be collected tomorrow.

No need. Looks like they give you a weather report on the ticket: Munich to Saarbrucken with ICE

Mannheim Hauptbahnhof, on time, isn't that the place Mr. Benz invented the car at? No shrine at the station to go and pray?

Have to change trains...

Nobody else in here? No Tagora cookies?

Fun fact: Mannheim is twinned with Swansea, so we're practically related.

That Tagora looks very clean and solid, considering it's parked with its nose in a hedge. Can't wait for the epic drive home.
