A favour for a favour!!

Asked my mate to tow my caravan to storage as I've not yet fitted my towbar to the jaguar.

He said he'd do it if I helped him tow his newest purchase home.

So here goes!

Bought for £50!! No mot or tax, 117k on clock and stuck on brakes

post-19687-0-17688300-1453290876_thumb.jpeg

1.7zetec engine, standard rusty arches and dents everywhere!!

Sorry, no breakfast shots or driving to the other side of the country as it was 11am and 3 miles down the road.

Was in my opinion the worst car he's bought and he's bought some shite!!

These are silly cheap now. You can pick them up with an MOT for about £250 on ebay (I was looking last week). The 1.7 is meant to be pretty good too isn't it, I am tempted to pick one up at some point abd run it until they pick up pricewise.

This ones arches were a combination of clagg, holes and rust.

Brakes were fubar and the interior ponged.

His plan was to use the rear hubs on his trailer and drag the remaining bits into his field with all the other shit he owns.

He said he might eBay it though.

I really want one as I know when the prices go up I'll never have the money.

What do I do with yet another car that works when I only ever want to drive the Fiesta, I really should fix the XR2 as well..

But they are cheap...

Engines from these fit into Fiesta's with minimal pain I've heard....

I bought one of these for 150 quid with a couple of months' test a few years back.  They are a brilliant drive and bound to go up in price eventually - hopefully I'll get round to owning another before they do.

I've got a full unmarked cloth interior inc door cards and rear panels here if needed.

They are great cars, I love mine the wifes for blatting around in.

How hard are the rear arches to do?  Do the structural bits drop to bits like the KA too?

Apparently the front arch profile on Pugrot 206s is near identical. A bloke on the blue forum showed how just a few blebs of grot on a Puma arch generally signals that that the tinworm has taken a heavy hold in behind.
