Good luck and many photos please to all the participants clattering down the 402,300mm course today.

My son is on the case for that with a pair of film SLRs (a Chinon and a Praktica) and some B&W film, which will be developed in our bathroom tonight.

Preflight checks made and door to automatic.

Liquid dinosaurs are halfway up the stick

Wetty cooly stuff present and pink

Stopping juice exists and looks like honey

Electrons ready to flow

It's 40miles to Crail, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of werthers, it's cold... and we're wearing gloves...

It's probably better it burst there than at Crail ....

The human arsehole can grip leather very effectively when faced with no brakes at 80mph heading towards a tyrewall and sea..

it popped the line at the end of the 2nd run.

Luckily,shite just wipes aff leather.

Good to meet a few new (to me) faces today.

Well done Joe for still being awake!

Dropped car back in Kinross after guiding Joe to motorway. Craig dropped me in inverkeithing where I found the trains all to cock and a bus replacement service from Edinburgh.

Got craig to pick me up again and now driving starlet back to accrington. On its third tank of fuel in 3 days.

How did the starlet get on ?

Brilliantly. Had lovely battles with the zx today. Fairly evenly matched.

Not sure the timings are right today. As every run was within half a second of each other. Which doesn't make sense consider some were with only one person.

starlet times look decent!

did anyone catch my times for 2 runs?they aint listed on the website, even though I am listed ..

It turns out my £8 ebay camera has a light leak, and the development times given are wrong. These two facts conspired to make the worst photos imaginable. At least the ovloVs came out reasonably clear, if a bit GRAINy.

Finally made it home.

Took 5 hours from Kinross as m6 has got roadworks. Hoping Joe didn't get caught up in them all.

Had a moment in starlet when wouldnt start outside the services. The idle had been a bit shit and wanting to stall. Quick poke revealed a loose battery cable which seems to have fixed it.

Was properly ace day, and I think the fact the zx & starlet were fairly evenly matched helped.

Brill photies and vids folks!

The Pikie racers with their stripped out, end-of-life machines were doing it right - the cars arrived stacked and strapped in a pile on the Hiab, ran all day, then left in the same manner. Classic.

Crail management take note: more of the above behaviour next time please, and bin off some RS3's and Golf R's. Ta.

Aye, I'm still awake now. Only arrived home at 11.30pm. Grr. Up at 3am (after one hour in bed), set off at 4am, all day up there, then SEVEN bloody hours to get back again. Same as last time FFS! Two of those hours were spent parked in the third lane of the M6 on Shap summit as Cumbrian rozzers and Highways scraped the last of the brains and bone fragments from the carriageway. A bad one apparently.

Luckily I'm not dead yet, and the £4.50 ZX behaved faultlessly* all day. It's a brill machine, and a real hoot across country - I enjoyed every minute behind the wheel today; the last hour home from the motorway over the Dales especially. Keeping it on boost is a deliciously addictive game.

Just think how much more fun it would be with a working rev gauge.... Not that I am bitter or anything!

Craig is sulking about being beaten by someone without a licence!

Edit: just seen the m6 was closed due to accident not roadworks. Bugger.

I forgot we did it with 633 squadron music. It's what Hayes FC used to run out to so seemed apt.
