Kiltox Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 Is it bad that I'm considering fixing this piss green pile of shite? Not even sure why, it's fucked and pretty awful and undoubtedly getting ready to reward me for giving it another MoT by grenading it's engine like scaryoldcortina's one did
Guest Hooli Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Yeah I did that last year and it lobotomised itself so I had to give it a brain transplant. So yeah fix it, it's a great idea! rainagain 1
Kiltox Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 Hmm... maybe it's even more cruel to keep it living than to put it down Maybe that's what it deserves Supernaut 1
Guest Hooli Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Try driving it back to the factory without using ferries or trains
Mr_Bo11ox Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 The arse end in my Gooner has started knocking like a bastard. My GSF bushes have lasted a spectacular 8 months!!!! FFS BorniteIdentity 1
Guest Hooli Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Two months more than the unknown ones I had fitted then.
SiC Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 The arse end in my Gooner has started knocking like a bastard. My GSF bushes have lasted a spectacular 8 months!!!! FFSI did say at the time that the only rear bushes that appear to last are genuine Renault parts!
Mr_Bo11ox Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I know, I shan't be fitting these shitty efforts a second time. 8 months is ridiculous.
Kiltox Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 Could you just fill them with tiger seal I wonder like people do with engine mounts....
Kiltox Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 Gotta be better than it knocking like fuck
Guest Hooli Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Pfft, it's a renault. The OEM parts are probably made of dirty cheese.
Kiltox Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Scrapper is coming on Fri to get the Goona and Astra van, fuck it
Mr_Bo11ox Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I spent £60 on a pair on a pair of OEM axle bushes yesterday. Buy cheap, buy twice!!!! Lacquer Peel 1
Guest Hooli Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Kiltox spent £60 & got a whole goona! DSdriver and SiC 2
Guest Hooli Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I'm not sure who got the better deal though DSdriver, Supernaut, Sigmund Fraud and 1 other 4
Kiltox Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Monsieur Balleux definitely got about 100% more rear axle bushes than I did
Guest Hooli Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I'll have you know those bushes are only 11 months old! you've got the receipt to prove it!
Kiltox Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 I'm a bit gutted to bin it really because I don't think it would take much to sort but I don't have the time, need to be out of my unit by April
3VOM Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Could you just fill them with tiger seal I wonder like people do with engine mounts....Search the internet - there are people filling them with polyurethane as a DIY fix for not a lot of money. I'm considering it for one car as I can buy the polyurethane for a few quid but the cheapest mount is over £30 and it isn't difficult to pay twice that.
Kiltox Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 Second Goona and Astra van are now gone Van is still available for £800Fiesta still available for £350Golf auto £350Laguna diesel auto £400Citroen C3 HDI (2009, 62k miles, MOT Dec) £1800 Bunch of tools and stuff too
Kiltox Posted February 8, 2017 Author Posted February 8, 2017 Think the Laguna has a vacuum leak - brake pedal goes hard and loses servo assistance when crawling around near idle speed and using brakes repeatedly. Builds up again fine when driving above 15 mph or so Anyone got £250 for it? July MOT
andy18s Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 IMG_1157.JPG 206k miles, 1.9dci 6 speed manual SWB low roof Rough running due to a dodgy crank sensor (cleaning it 4K ago sorted it but it probably wants changing). Engine, turbo, box are great and I seriously doubt original. Engine is a bit oily, couple of leaks but it's not pissing everywhere. Roof is leaky. £500 as it sits. this still for sale?Thinking of flying over and picking up a cheap van to run stuff back with, and this would be ideal....
Kiltox Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 Yeah but its running problem is sorted so I need more like £800 ONO for it
Kiltox Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 Van is sold subject to collection C3, Fiesta, Golf and Laguna still available! Tickman 1
Kiltox Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 C3 gone and I think laguna is going in part x against the Duster unless anyone wants it really badly. Golf and Fiesta still here and cheap!
holbeck Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Silly question of the day, did the van sale go through? A mate of mine local to you is looking for a van.
