Mr Conelrad and myself went and actually ran into Watadong. To my surprise, I got the part I needed, for a tenner, so it was well worth the trip for me.

The switch for the dipped/main beam/flasher in the RoD, which always was a tad dodgy, had finally fallen apart, leaving me with no headlights at all,

thus rendering the car practically non-op.

Today we were 405 motored, hence the trip sadly was void of any FTP romanticism. On the way down, we stopped for brekky at the Trucker's Rest.

There was quite some snow down in the midlands.

 

Why none of you miserable lot turned up for this is beyond me.

I would have gone as it's right 'on my manor', except

 

a) I was away that weekend.

ii) It's only just come to my attention.

3) It would have precluded me causing this pointless thread-bump.
