X Cars - GMP X Division episodes

Whilst mooching on Youtube, I came across the 6 episodes of X Cars which was screen in the late 90's and followed the Greater Manchester Polices X Division. Their aim was to reduce car crime in the area, although it seems they did quite a lot of thrashing of high performance motors. There is some quiality chod spots in amongst the episodes.

I absolutely loved this when it was on the TV - very impressive driving skills by the GMP. There's a nice XR2 in the episodes somewhere - think the radio was stolen or something?

135 MPH out of a Mk5 Escort RS2000? I'm calling bullshit and saying GMP didn't calibrate the speedo. A turbocharged Escort Cosworth struggles to hit 140.

 

This would of been better if it was filmed 15 years earlier when they were tooled up with Lotus Sunbeams.
