Can you get a classic policy with Business cover?

As the title chaps:)

looking at octy replacements, and looking at the insurance options!

a) it'll depend what business it is (I'm sure it'll be harder getting business use as a courier or fast food delivery, than as a gardener)

b ) I'm sure you could get a business policy which covers a classic car (which is the other way round and will probably have a premium to match)

Give that you see things like H-vans selling poncy coffee and ancient Bedford CFs ice-cream wagons...

Its for business travel (to/from on site meetings)

I have tried the opposite- about 5x as expensive switching a modified classic onto the Octavia policy(despite octavia having mods!)

The only one I've found who'll provide it is Footman James. One insurer had positive kittens when I asked and ran away screaming when I said one of my cars covers 10,000 miles a year. Actual risk? No thanks!

Footman James do a classic car trade policy and allow you to specify your own classics and will cover moderns you own too.

Don't know about classic insurance but my trade policy charges me an extra £300 a year for business use for Mrs N. Seems steep but it's peace of mind that whatever she has to drive is covered. That's for a 45 year old Social Worker

I had it before through Chaucer but it took a bit of negotiation. Most classic policies i looked at excluded it.

You can do it, because I had my Anglia clicked up for business use a couple of years ago. Sorry I can't remember who it was with, but I don't remember it being much more expensive. It was probably Flux - as much as we love to hate them, they will insure pretty much anything for anything.

We used to have the Mx5 on a classic policy, but transferred it to a normal policy and have built up 3 years no claims so that it's now cheaper than the classic policy and we have recently added "occasional" business use at zero cost.

Downside ? No agreed value, but I'm prepared to argue the value

I have also had occasional use added at no cost. To be fair it just means driving to a different location so not really much of a change for me.
