Low scrap price bargains

Risking coming back on. Historically my computer has coincidently died three times after enjoying this place. But, nevertheless, anyone else found any amazing low scrap price bargains lately?
Those of you on the facebook page will already know of my A4. S plate, tatty, bodged, but still enjoyable.

Got it for half a pint, after haggling, with 6 spare tyres and wheels and 3 months MOT.

Since gone through another MOT with the aid of a spare wheel and a can of WD40.

Anyone else found any cheap scrap price bargains? Looks like the good shiter times are back like it was 2002.

Bloke across the road got £30 for a 25k mile 1.6 SE auto Golf with a holed sump ,seized engine. Cast sump .. progress? Pressed steel one would just been dented .. and the car would still live ...

I got given this, it does have no compression on cylinder three though but makes up for it by having brand new tyres and 9 months mot.

I rather like them, apart from having absolutely shocking A pillar visibility. The 1.3 goes like the clappers.

Indeed those days seem to be back and it's great to see!

 

I got given this 166 V6 with a slippy auto box because the scrap man was charging HIM to come and collect it.

 

 

On the contrary, high scrap prices used to be a kind of get out of jail free card for when any of my fleet shat itself. Take the wheels off, wham a few bits on eBay and weigh the shell in for £150-200 and you had your money back. Now I'm stuck with a fucking Chrysler Neon that's off a cylinder and owes me £280 that I'll probably never see again.
