Minty Fiesta anyone..........

This is a bit of a saga, bear with me....................A friend of mine from over here is sorting out his recently departed father in laws estate, amongst which is a 47k miles 1991 Fiesta 1110 Ghia. Ex Jersey car, been in the UK for some time, but hardly ever used. I haven't seen it, and I have no pics, but it's supposed to be absolutely lovely. It's taxed and MOT'd, and he wants about £750 for it. He's on 07797 725337, name of Graham, tell him Colin sent you! Car is in Leeds.

Strong money for a '91 fiesta. They're often utterly shagged at 50 odd k miles as my missus old one would testify.Even if its mint you'll struggle to get much for it unfortunately, they sell for next to sod all on ebay.

If that's as good as they get bodywork wise then I would gladly swap my 89k, 1999 Mondeo for that (despite me swearing off mk3 Fiestas a long time ago). sounds like the guy's got one more car than he needs already tho but.

I much prefer the mk2's and the later sad face festers. Mk3 just fairly rubbish in most repects IMO, like the escorts of the same era

MK3's rot worse than mk2's in my opinion. However the XR2i's, rs1800i's, and Si's were nice in the day. I like the brand new Fiestas i have to admit!

My Si certainly looked nice, I'll give it that!

Even the 1.6 16v Si's were no fire crackers, i remember driving one years ago when i still had a Mk2 XR2, and the XR2 was a far better drive, loads more go in it.

Yes that's what mine was! It was all mouth & no trousers

Only 90bhp on tap, although that would feel positively brisk to me now, I'm sure as I've been re-acclimatised to slow cars again!

I did much prefer the styling of them to the XR & RS Fiestas though and, at the time anyway, the Si's were definitely rarer.

I don't think your mate will get what he wants for it just because its not "retro" Enough yet.

If it is mint you never know

Your starting to see fewer mk3's nowadays that will only help.

I've still got my rs1800 and i dont think i'll ever get rid of it tbh, when i was about 20 i always wanted one or a turbo.
