Zantimisfit Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I would have thought if you just stood next to the average French road with a video camera and waited you would pretty much end up with this type of footage anyway. Criminal shite damage though purplebargeken 1
mercrocker Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 If that upsets anybody then DO NOT google Canadian Hell Drivers. Definitely not at Walthamstow Stadium....
Justin Case Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Similarly, if you like 30s American iron, especially in Ford V8 flavour then avert your eyes from this : mercrocker 1
Squire_Dawson Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 To most people, all those cars were worthless shit. Now they're worth a small fortune. Save what chod you can, folks. chaseracer, oldcars, 4wheeledstool and 2 others 5
chaseracer Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Indeedy. One of the jumpers was a pre-WW2 Citroen Traction Avant...
chaseracer Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 If that upsets anybody then DO NOT google Canadian Hell Drivers. Definitely not at Walthamstow Stadium.... I'm glad I didn't do that...
mercrocker Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Stuff like that used to upset me when I was a kid though - I couldn't bear to watch those Laurel & Hardy sketches which involved tearing pieces off each other's Model T. And as for Billy Smart fucking clowns in exploding Austin Rubies.... Junkman and Justin Case 2
Bren Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Looking at all the dirt ejected from the cars the french never clean inside the wheel arches do they? At least they have a way of getting rid of all those fucking awful renault DCi's.
Paul Dupart Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 But all worthless shite at the time, just like doing it with a 53 plate mondeo now
lisbon_road Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Yes, I am a coward - risk averse - put it how you like. But many of those are still staggeringly dangerous.
Junkman Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Parential guidance advised for DS lovers.
Junkman Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 This was a mere two years ago. Viewer discrection advised!PShome, do NOT watch this! mercrocker 1
D Spares & Tyres Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 How did they get that CX to reverse like that?
chaseracer Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Only with me and Pillock sitting on the bonnet. Junkman 1
pshome Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 This was a mere two years ago. Viewer discrection advised!PShome, do NOT watch this! No Tagora Were Harmed In The Making Of This Film!Actually they make good use of the 505's and smash Renners and citro's, nothing wrong about that. Talking cascadeurs, went yday to the Oktoberfest, about the only reason to do this (apart from "the Schichtl" where you can watch a live beheading and the flea cricus) are the guys of "Pitts deathwall". Totally mad men doing proper stunts on old Indian bikes in that old shaking wooden barrel, the noise, the smell.. pure fun! outlaw118 and Junkman 2
chaseracer Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 Rodeo-cascadeurs, as only the French could do it... ATTENTION SHITTEURS: BX/CX/DS and MENTAL MERC action!
Junkman Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 OMG605 2! I mustard mitt that I have done this sort of thing extensively in Belgium. Many an Audi C2 100 5E had to die... and some W116 450 SELs in the 'Rodeo Class'.And the odd Caprice/Camaro/Firebird as well as some Opel Commodores/KADs.From a driving point of view, it's immensely more fun than UK style banger racing (done that too, so I can tell). In Belgium, there even was an annual 24h race.
chaseracer Posted October 7, 2015 Author Posted October 7, 2015 "OK, Jean-Pierre... we 'ave arrived au milieu de nul and closed off a random farm track. Ze ramps are set up. You 'ave done ze usual deal avec la casse?" "Ouai" "Local dancing girls en deshabille? Inappropriate music of merde? Heavy-handed, mistimed effets pyrotechniques?" "D'accord" "On y va..." WARNING: contains Visa & Ami 8 DEATH... Junkman 1
dave21478 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 1 - the fuck are those eejits doing?2 - why do they have Micheal J Fox filming them with an Etch-a-Sketch?3 - who pays for the repairs to the phone line they mullered?
Junkman Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 ^ We should try it here... It wouldn't take much. It can be run on inpromptu tracks on farms, or existing rallycross tracks.I loved the rallycross track venues. Brought a Camaro 396 to Valkenswaard and clean swept the Rodeo Class. There also was a 100% tarmac run each year on an airfield near Wunstorf, which was delightfully mental. I'm sure something like this does exist in the UK. chaseracer 1
andy18s Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Ah, for a minute there I thought you meant These French cars..... https://www.facebook.com/RallyRacingSport/videos/548992485202241/
dugong Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Rodeo-cascadeurs, as only the French could do it... ATTENTION SHITTEURS: BX/CX/DS and MENTAL MERC action! That DS towards the end is a bit of a weapon, and seems to hold its line while being utterly shagged simultaneously. What would this be equivalent to in the UK - stock car racing? Some of them have armour \ nudge plates on the front, others don't. Some of it is contact, some of it isn't. Also, half of them seem to be bloody aiming for the edge of the berm so the cars flip......
Junkman Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Stockcar racing = oval track.Rodeo = not oval track, otherwise it would be basically stockcar. Having a berm to be able to deliberately roll the car is a defining component ofRodeo Cascadeur, but not necessarily Rodeo. chaseracer 1
UltraWomble Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 To most people, all those cars were worthless shit. Now they're worth a small fortune. Save what chod you can, folks. know, I keep thinking if I had the space I'd squirrel the MicraShed away. I dread to think what it will be like after a bunch of 16 and 17YO students have had a go at fixing it. As it is I have a Xantia squirreled away for now in need of some love, LHM and rubber.
320touring Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 How did they get that CX to reverse like that?I'll make a video demonstrating shortly Junkman and chaseracer 2
