More road closure misery. The northbound carriageway of the Thornton Bypass, which is the last couple of miles of the road from FOADWERX to the Beijing Banquet, will be closed all weekend. There will be a diversion signposted but you'll probably have to allow an extra 15 minutes or so.

You would think, wouldn't you? As far as I can tell that's not happening though.

 

It will affect people coming from Kincardine too. I think the official diversion is via the Cluny road, but it can easily take half an hour to get out the other end at the best of times. I'd be inclined to drive through Thornton, which will see you coming out just along from the Beijing Banquet.
