Sandhill, Newcastle upon Tyne, 1969. The houses include Bessie Surtees House where Bessie Surtees eloped from on the 18th November 1772 with John Scott who became the Lord Mayor of London. The High Level Bridge is in the background.

The most southern submission so far, but it's a nice pic so allowable.

Wow! That Cortina Crusader YAJ 412Y belonged to Ken, a neighbour of ours when I was growing up. Bought new from Neshams of North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, it must have been one of the last Cortinas, he got a good deal on it as the Sierras were already in the showroom when he bought it. He used to lend it out to a couple of trusted local lads who could have it for the night, as long as they dropped him off at the club, and picked him back up, my older brother was one of them. I learned a lot about RWD handling from riding in that! I remember helping him to repaint the dartboard wheels on it too on a few occasions....

No, it's Brian Connolly from the Sweet with Mike Chapman the music producer. I don't think Plant ever went for platform shoes.

Am I right to think the building, centre top here, is 'still there' despite the LIFE Centre architects wanting to nuke it.... 🤔
