So, rather than one or 2 bits wrong, everything is broken!

Not bad for £50. You gonna try and fix it up or weigh it straight in?

It drives really, really well. Suspension feels good, no clonks or wandering, brakes feel good and it goes well enough. But it is rotten - repaired before and now rotting around the repairs.

It's scrap but it hame with a bootfull of $$$$$$ spares that I should be able to make 3-400 out of plus the car will break to 3-400 quid as well.

For 50 quid and a train fare I did well. No way am I going to repair it though.

What's right with it?

Well. First and foremost it's a BM....  oh.

an Allegro [sNIP] I fixed it too.

Oh. So it's your fault some of these still live.  EVERYONE - GET HIM!!!1!

I tried to give that car away more than once and it kept coming back. I still can't what happened to it in the end and I'm a bit concerned that I might still have it.

That BMW is an example of what happens if you don't keep on top of repairs. Most of that could have been dealt with fairly easy but it's too much to do all at once.

I sold a mk 1 essy to a relative - the MOT had long expired.

Relative took car in, tester said 10 mins into test that if he stopped at that point he could take car away with nothing to pay.

It sounds like a carcraft purchase.

What year is it?

August 1994. It's done 215'000 miles so really, 21 years and 215k is a good innings. If all cars lasted this long you wouldn't really need a new one ever.

When it leaves this parish, it will be a well stripped hulk with everything of use/value removed. The engine and box are coming out for starters along with the diff, lights,  and enough parts to fill two of those blog blue storage boxes. When, like me you run a couple of old E36's as dailies, cars like this make running them very cheap indeed.

It had a nearly new Bosch blue battery that has already been commandeered for the 318Ti whose battery is absolutely shagged.

Thats a fantastic price.. To think I paid half that amount last week for just a new glass cover for the headlight on my E36 Ti

Just for the battery alone is good value! The previous owner of my zx put a £75 new one on 3 days before I picked it up! When I get a new car ill swap that over...
