Epic new 2 part drama staring on Autoshite!

Well not quite epic, but close.

It's Day 1 of 2 that's Rover related. Something a bit different about today however.

It starts with this -

Usually, at this stage, I would be using public transports finest and feeling a little big grim.

Not the case at the moment, however. First leg transport ...

Because Apple has taken over the world and everything technologically advanced is I-something, I declare that Autoshite roffles become the i-Raffle.

The Autoshite i-Raffle Delivery Service (AIDS) is the official name.

I take it you're picking up something for the return journey?

Posted

Possibly.

I do have a fully paid return ticket but I've broke the journey up and will be viewing something on the way up and collecting on the way back down if it's up to scratch. I'm very fussy about these cars though so it has to be right.

Failing that if I can find a shed for £200 in Scotland I might just buy it to get back.

Currently in a services, waiting for the guy to bring my potential new acquisition to have a look at. Fingers crossed!

Wish the rain would just piss off mind.

Tam has 214!

I didn't buy the E23 735i I viewed in Edinburgh. It was a bit too far gone rot wise for it to be worth a shot at the pice he was asking. Nevermind.

Had a drive of the ZT Diesel, definitely think a 75 or ZT diesel is on the agenda now as a daily, much more my type of thing instead of the Civic. I will re-visit my watch list on eBay and make plans to view some of the ones I put on their last week.

Tam also let me have a go of 2 of his others toys -

I'm getting the peasant wagon back to England from Dundee but I will be scouring the net on the way down with the hope I can jump off the train somewhere and pick up a cheap motor for the remainder of the journey. Fingers crossed.

Part 2 of Rover shenanigans to follow!

Goood job I've got WIFI so I can try and figure out how to alter my route to facilitate!

Just hoping that they return my phone call now! They have exactly 1hr - this train gets to Edinburgh at 17.26 to which I would need to jump off and spunk £6.30 on the train to Polmont at 17.30.

Great to meet you John pity we didn't have more time to get P6 going better :) That'll be it back in the shed for another 6 months probably.

At least you got your train on time and thanks for the excellent delivery service. Will get the Polish looked out and set to work!

This is class, are you going to have a look at the 75? Looks nice in the photos. Epic journey if you do buy it.

That's a stunning colour on that ZT, you really need that on a day like today.  It looks like the little Rover has gone to a very good home.

I was hoping so, but the guy isn't available until really late on tonight. It looks just the ticket as well.

However, Facebook is giving me a lead on some other possibilities, just trying to work out if they are utter shit or not.

That looks like Trevor Colebrook's car. He lives in Polmont and runs the Scottish All Rover Rally . Should be well looked after if it's his and number plate starts P5 ;)

Meh stuff it, nobody seems to want to sell a car so I've cracked open a beer on the train instead.

Is that one of Google's driverless cars?

Looks like it!

Eventually home - car less! Not bothered mind, I had a 55 minute changeover at Darlington so went and necked 3 pints in a rough boozer and then got offered a Fiesta for £200. Typical really.
