Guest Breadvan72 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I am trying to find out deets about this and how much and stuff, in case anyone here has the wantz. 1.6 carby. fred and Skizzer 2
cobblers Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 That's pretty nice, the wide grille ones with less lights are the best lookers IMO, I'd run that deffo!Looks like whoever owns it is somewhat scene so I'd presume they'll be asking £cashdollarmoney before anyone gets their hopes up.
dieselassist Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 ...its wearing BBS RZ rims off a corrado - the three piece centre caps are possibly worth as much as the rims themselves; since they also fit the SPLIT-RIMZZ BBS. I had a set of my mk1 caddy years ago... Edit; missing the drivers side caps - so only worth half the selling price of the rims; same as myself; he just couldn't keep them on - usually stolen /fly off ...id hes a vw scener; chances are hell sell sans the rims, but wait for him to say 'yo, rimz is wortz ££££, mate', n then knock that off the asking, if hes not talking telephone figures for it; some bosh on some 4x100 temporary steelies off any mk1/2/3 or mk2 caddy n drive home... Coprolalia and skattrd 2
Guest Breadvan72 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I saw the same car up for sale at the same pub a year or so ago, asking 1K by a sign in the window. Not sure what has happened since. Bloke has not rung me back.
skattrd Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Quite a few years ago I bought a Scirocco on BBS RMs, obviously I sold the RMs straight away for nearly what the car cost.
barefoot Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 It's a GL, which makes it the older sort of 1600 without the hydraulic lifters and 1588 instead of 1595 and 85 bhp instead of 75. In the very dim and distant past, I used to have one of these on a Y plate with just a single front wiper. And the most irritating yellow lamp that used to light up to tell you to change up. Which would have been OK if the main beam warning had been blue, but that was yellow as well.Nice car and probably sold before it should have been....
Fabergé Greggs Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 I'm well into that, and I'd be slapping some appropriate steelies right on. *watches with interest*

Still have three left.Someone on RR kept offering me 45 quid for the lot because there was a bit of lacquer peel. 'No' I kept saying.
Guest Breadvan72 Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Still no answer from bloke, will try again. Anyone who wants his number, PM me.

Original paint (champagne) Mostly dry garaged/stored, he says.105,000 miles, 3 owners. He wants to buy a truck for work, so needs to sell. Will consider an offer.
