blguy1975 Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 It is a bit annoying Having a air con button that lights up and does nothing elseHave had Brian re gassed twice but stops working after a day , nobody I ask wants to try and fix it ,(bit strange..Fix this ,I will give you cash monies ) I wandering weather TO WHACK k seal in the system ,Will it work?Will it kill the Aircon?Will I suffocate? Any thoughts anybody Bee seeing You

panhard65 Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 You could try one of these stop leak things for air con but they don't usually work and you need a tool to inject it. K seal won't be any good for air con.

You need to attend the local monthly meets, Matt, where we can explain & discuss what to do to fix shit like this with you.... We could have sorted this in 5 mins face-to-face yesterday evening, and it's always good to meet you . However, any decent anonymous net scribe will tell you to take Brian the 25 to an air con specialist. Said specialist will drain Brian's air con and vacuum test it (clearly a vacuum test will show a leak because it won't be possible to achieve near-vacuum in Brian's AC system because the sytem needs regassing after a day or so ); (s)he will then pressurise the system with Nitrogen plus a fluorescent agent, then run the AC and use a UV light to check for the leak(s)... (S)he will then fix the leaks, pressurise the system with Nitrogen and check for pressure drop indicating a leak (or leaks), find no leakage (ideally or rinse & repeat until the system is sealed) then replace the Nitrogen with the relevant chemical - and Brian's AC will work like a dream... PS K-seal won't work. You can't do this one on the cheap, Matt!

andy18s Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Lol.theres a 6 page long thread over on 1 of the P38 forums about someone suffering from lack of aircon.People go into great detail about how to check various electrical problems which can affect the Hevas system.Everything from testing the ice warning sensor,to pulling the blend motors out of the dash.........Someone asks if the correct length drivebelt is fitted as 1 too slack will slip Drivebelt? ???? Asks the OP..........
