Can you recommend good classic car insurance

The time has come to start looking for insurance for my Beetle (MOT in 2 Weeks!!)

I know there are plenty of insurance companies about but would like some real world knowledge.

I want an agreed value and I'm guessing that a limited mileage policy would be cheaper.

I've always used RHspecialist car insurance and they are pretty good to deal with, I swapped over last year to Lancaster but when the renewal came through it was double.

Switched from Footman James to Peter James about three years ago....

Two Morrisesessses cost 90 quid all in commuting included, no mileage restriction.

No helpdesk, no internet assistance. Just pick the phone up and ring 'em, they get your file in a second and know exactly what you are on about. Renewals no hassle, adding/deleting cars likewise. Long may they prosper...

I'd advise shopping around too though.

Peter James and more recently, Peter Best.

Footman James - were ok years back, dunno now.

I found FJ to be OK for a few years but then they started to piss me about with "renewal" fees and other bollocks. Peter James was one of the founders and set up on his own. Plus one on the Adrian Flux opinion, too - I shan't bother with them again.
