Astonishing!!! Would take MONTHS, if not years, to see stuff like that round here!

Awesome! 2500 dizzler is a Merc donk that Fiat bought in for the 131 and 132, if I'm not mistaken.

Excellent Torsten - any relation to this?

..I have either just spotted this in Retford (North Notts) or there's atleast another one of these going about. Unfortunately it was on the move and couldnt check the plate..

Retford is about 180 miles from Croydon - They really are living the dream if it's the same one.

Very lovely indeed.

I would be well chuffed to rag that up and down our provincial high street on a warm summers evening, cherry bomb exhaust note boucing off buildings. Class!

I don't think I've ever seen a 635 this early before, looks rounder too

I'm sure I passed this a couple of weeks ago - there was a silver Mk1 Suzuki Alto across the road a bit further up.

That is an early one, It'll be a 633, came out in Aug '76.

oddly it's not on the DVLA database..

I'd love to know more about that Wolsey. The fat arches and fatter exhausts sticking out where the rear skirt used to be, hint at something very interesting!

Posted

It's not a Wolseley, it's a Riley. I wonder if it's an 1100cc bike engine. The vehicle details for PBT 566M are:Date of Liability 01 10 2009Date of First Registration 15 02 1974Year of Manufacture Not AvailableCylinder Capacity (cc) 1100CCCO2 Emissions Not AvailableFuel Type PetrolExport Marker Not ApplicableVehicle Status Licence Not DueVehicle Colour WHITE

Isn't it great? I'm not a huge VW fan but that is a beautiful van, it'd do well in Cornwall

Posted

I didnt know that the rear screen on really early Minis were smaller than later ones. I thought it was just the side windows. It makes the wole car look smaller, which confused me for a bit!

This lot is from a twenty minute drive this morning, not a bad haul!

Blimey!! Top spotting! Must be virtually unique to see a 2 door Mk 1 Escort just sat on the street, especially in rather tired looking condition! Probably worth more than my house!! Plus, it must be DECADES since I saw a Mk 2 Cortina outside of a show, so 2 in one day is astonishing.

Hey! That's another Escort I've spotted (see pale blue Mk3 on another thread), although not posted it up yet. Was a crap CP+T for me though, although uncovered the plate - this was how it looked in April 2008. It's an RS2000 too..

Posted Image

I did however delve a bit deeper than you, and took a look over the fence where the 'no parking ' sign is (notice the green tarp in the background of my pic, this is what I saw:

..Good update Torsten, I've 'spotted' those Cortinas I think too - Will have to update my thread soon.

Posted

Cheers Gompo, I think I've spotted the Tinas before too as well as the Honda but can't be arsed to check!
