Has anyone got or know where I can get one? I have removed forward clutch and all the plates are down to the metal. The thick one at the back, the top plate I think it's called has broken off the little springs on it and surprise surprise are not available new. Thanks folks.

Metro yeah?

Wouldn't someone like Rimmers or one of the Mini spares companies do these?

Could you rape a Mini for its 1275 engine and box?

We are talking manual box aren't we??

There must be autoboxes somewhere from people who converted these sort of things to manuel. I have no idea where to start looking though.

It's prob worth trying some BL forums

No,that's for top gear and reverse. Got to find out if the parts from the top/reverse will fit in the forward clutch to be honest As there is a couple top and reverse packs on ebay

Trouble is skattrd not many autos where made and the mini boxes from the 998 engine do fit but don't have a park function. Have to get in there quick and buy when one comes up before the trike builders get them

Thanks frank and bloke, will look into them later today if no joy.

They are the folks who told me the part isn't available new anymore chap.

Part number 48. Unsure why the springs are separate, the couple that are left on mine seem firmly attached

www.theautomaticgearboxcompany.co.uk list a complete box.........not sure if they still exist but if so may be able to offer some help.............

Other than that it may be worth seeking out companies who can 'reline' your old plates...........they will be there but everything has its price

I have a complete engine and box on its way. Expensive way of doing it but no other choice. Will try selling engine separate or make an extremely large paper weight!

Only on Autoshite can someone with a 1275 metro use parts from a 998 mini to save it.
