Do these have the same metal clips holding the upper door trim? Mine are notably broken.

the door is the same apart from an extended plastic capping trim at the top as far as I am aware. Beyonf that, I suggest asking Paul - he'll know the answer.

Is the cassette the same as the hatch? I'm worried the frame on mine is too rotten to revive.

Posted

yes, it came from a hatchback.

They are all a standard Webasto part.

Cool. I need to ponder some logistics then. I'm not really due your way for anything at the moment.

it's a spare I got from chaseracer and hasn't been on a car in ovr a decade. Hence it's non rusty.

There is no rush - it's tucked away at the moment.

Would a Bosch 2.1 fit into a BX? Where's Mat the Cat when you need him? Might make an interesting car.

someone may have done it - it's an XUD11 rather than the XUD9 of a BX. They fit in a Xantia.

It's Bosch pumped so all mechanical.

I think it has been done, but I don't think it was very easy.

Thanks MO. Sounds just the job really. We have vague plans to head West during February, though I might get sick of the water ingress before then...

Posted

I'll consider it gone and you can fly past in feb and if it's OK, take it away in return for some beer tokens. We're six or seven mins off the A40 at Goodrich.

Have you still got the Citroen XM breaking for parts? If so how far from Carlisle are you?
