is it eBay or is it me?

I'm not sure if it's me being thick or not, please bear with me.

I'm looking for a car. So I click on motors. Now, all I have in mind is a budget and a fuel type, yeah? So, fairly easily, I can click onto diesel (which mugs off a lot of cars) and then I can enter £1000 to £3000 into the price range, which mugs off a load more.

Still, I want to exclude pick ups, 4x4's and ragtops, so I click on the option circled in red, shown here:-

which takes me to this page,

where I tick the cars I want to search. However, this page doesn't have a "submit" button, or am I being thick?

asking ebay nearly as fruitless as asking my cat. any suggestions? I get the feeling there is a submit button lower down the page but cant seem to scroll down?

There should be an 'apply' button at the bottom of the box - it'd be further down in your screenshot if you could scroll down, but the box is static and the page just scrolls. It's not you I don't think.

Bottom of select list has all filters on it. Just select what you want to view and press the small x top right to close the filter screen. Filters should then be applied and you can search through what you selected

I think that happens on a tablet.....like you say the button is further down.

No idea of the fix though apart from being further up the page before clicking ' see all'

That box looks like there is no way of being able to go further down. I think it automatically applies what you select.

The problem is that those filters are not stunningly accurate and there are still tons of cars in the "not specified" category.

What I do is from the home page, select "cars and vehicles" or whatever it is from the drop down menu, click search and it lists all cars. I then narrow the price field to my range then in the search bar I exclude everything I dont want. Put a "-" minus sign in front of whatever words you want to exclude from the search, you can bung a load in the search bar at once eg "-pickup -4x4 -cabriolet -convertable -breaking" and that tends to filter things better than the basic category selections.

You will need to include one term to search for though, so put "diesel" or some other word common to the listings you want as well as the negative terms.

I've tried that mate, no joy. You would think that would be the obvious thing but no.

I';; try that

Try zooming out with a pinch motion if you're on a tablet. Often you can't scroll but you can pinch out and hit a button that was previously off the bottom.

Adjusted the screen resolution from 125 to 100 and bingo, rest of screen pops into view...

I was gonna say, if you're on a tablet, try a screen rotation tab if your tablet has one.
