Urge to buy rising... rising... oh hello bank balance!  What do you mean "no"?  Meanie.

My first ever Citroen was a Familiale because we had 4 debt makers (still do and many years later they still keep us poor), anyway what an introduction to the marque! Since then we have had 15 other Cits and I still run an XM for pleasure.

...Unbolt and remove the middle row of seats and you've got a five-seater with legroom to shame any limo.

Unbolt the middle row of seats and you can get about sixty cases of your favourite tipple on board and still drive with a level car. Try that in anything else and you wouldn't be able to see over the end of the bonnet.

Mate of mine had one of these back in the 90s.... it was so beaten up and rotten he was given it and he still thought he'd been robbed! We went up to Bristol in it one night on a mutual 'booty call' and it drove like a dream. Seriously, it was falling apart; door trims held on by friction and good wishes, seats where the stuffing was more out than in and carpets that did little to abate the draughts billowing through the religious floor.

It barrelled up the A38/M5 at grossly illegal speeds and was soooooo comfortable I fell asleep even though I was freezing.

It did get bodged back together enough for an MOT (not currently present when we used it - an oversight I'm sure!) and sold on so lived for another year.

Great cars.

Does anyone remember that one Scooters went to see in Edinburgh (i think) a while back, it stuck in my mind because of the mental case sellers thinking that some grease ‘protecting’ the wiring loom somehow cancelled out the fact that the car was utter, utter scrap after sitting half-dismantled on their drive for 10 years with the interior full of shite.

What ever happened to Scooter's one that died by the side of the road? Did he get it recovered or did Edinburgh council dispose of it for him?

Scooters had it recovered and  believe its now sitting at a friends place in edinburgh. Someone please buy this pile of french eyesore toss, i fugging hate the thing sitting there  taking up space of 5 cars, used to like them until i had the misfortune of working next to this one, for some reason i find them hateful now.
