FSOMG should have bought a lada

Yeah that was the thought I would be a minority stakeholder if FOAD/NIsfan were a combined unit.

There's the possibility of removing the body from an mx5 and bodging the fso onto it..

You defo need to have a tidy up in there man, it looks horrendous. I think you might feel a lot better about the whole thing if you could see the FSO in tidy-looking surroundings and not surrounded by mountains of old shite.

If I were crazier I'd offer my tidying services for that garage in return for welderising the wedge.  But I'm not quite crazy enough to actually mean it.

Made a start on the cleanup by selling a set of wheels that were taking up space...

Tomorrow I'm going to try and throw a lot of shit out, should i try weighing it in or just take it straight to the tip?

It depends how much you've got. The last time I weighed in metal, fixing the puncture I picked up cost more than I got for the scrap.

The FSO looks great - nothing there that won't polish out.

I meant throwing away the rubbish in the unit to clear a space to work in, ive accumulated quite a few batteries and there's some scrap metal etc.

Batteries will get you about £5-8 each.

A bare alloy wheel the same, maybe a bit more.

Hmm. I hate to say this but maybe get the RHD bits off it and bin the rest, as others have suggested.

It does look royally fucked.

I'd say part off what you can too, It wouldn't surprise me if Steve down at FSO Towers would buy salvageable parts off you. There is the old saying 'you can't save em all'

Personally I wouldnt weigh it 'all' in - the front is fairley well gone; Id try to keep the 'pick up' specific bits' - ie back end- if you have the space, and after de-engin'in ; n picking everything that looks even remotely improtant or useful from the hulk, cut after bulkhead (sills don't look too bad) n 'keep n forget' the back half - which doesn't look too 'tales from the crypt' n presumably pickup only parts are 'hard got' - store engine mechanicals inside ....stash/ tarp/ prop up on its arse (if it'll take the weight) back half outside against a wall etc, otta sight, in the hope that a saloon donor etc looms somewhere on the horizon to make a solid pickup again...  apply sweeping brush etc to garage floor n weigh/bring to the tipp the rest....

...oh and get some shelves for the unit.... :P

Is it running yet?

I think the only thing keeping that together is the paint.
