Unexpected shite gravitation at J69 towers

I went to a local beer festival on Saturday and unintentionally got completely hammered. I don't know whether it was the clocks aligning with the moon or something but, despite being steaming drunk, I swear I noticed a lot more chod gravitated around my house than normal.

Mine are the two on the drive, OBVs:

Usual selection of detritus down my road. Mixture of low-end try-hard, wannabe up-and-coming and given up trying:

Help me out here: Nissan Cherry? LOLmodded Golf with mismatched wheels and smashed front light over the other side of the road. K10 Micra over the other side and black bottom-feeder -spec Beemer:

Neighbour's particularly neglected 206 on the left. Only took them a year to repair the wing mirror that was gaffer taped to the side of the door:

Tidy Mk1 Fiesta recently treated to a full ground-up resto and respray. This was my ride home:

Approximately 10 minutes after this happened I vomited profusely and fell asleep until well into Sunday. I wasn't sure if it had actually happened, but I used my telephone to take some photographs, which provides proof. Just a shame I couldn't get the copper coloured 'keeping up with the Joneses council estate style' -spec BMW from up the road in any of the pics at the same time.

The "Cherry" is a Toyota Carina. Not sure of the generation, but I do like the look of those, even though it isn't a Corolla with the silly numberplate positioned really high on the tailgate.

Random visiting shite is mildly interesting, but we absolutely NEED more pics of the Anglia and Ami !

Lol, you guys must have seen plenty of pics of my Anglia before? I'll see if I can find some recent ones.

Ah, you've got that Ami now then? I adore it.

Yeah, fancied one for a while and this one popped up not too far away. Looks good on top but it's absolutely shot underneath. It's going to need a fair bit of surgery before it's roadworthy again. Luckily it came with a pair of nicely made floors, so hopefully the amount of actual fabrication won't be too high. It's just the bits where the boot floor meet the inner wings and the two rear body mountings under the boot floor that I'll have to make myself.

I'm not surprised. Two owners ago, 'Hairy Dave' was using it as his daily driver. Look forward to seeing your progress with it. Still has an early M4 engine I think?

Apparently it's a more modern 2CV block with the early heads on it. I'll be honest though, I don't know a lot about the engines yet (and don't know what the implications of that setup are). I need to spend some time and read up on it. Any advice is 100% welcomed!

Sounds intriguing! Probably worth joining the club and then seeking out local groups. There is a chap currently London-based who has a 2CV with a similar engine. Further south, this chap knows a lot about them too. www.retrospecparts.com

The thing about wing mirrors is... once you have bought a replacement you are reluctant to put it on because you know that as soon as you do some halfwit is going to walk/drive into it. Whereas, if you leave the old smashed and gaffer taped one there nothing ever happens.

I have had a replacement wing mirror for the XM for nearly as long as I have had the car but it is still in the boot where it is much safer.

I've just sourced a new drivers side wing mirror for the zx, don't tell me this now!
