I equally find interesting/ odd sometimes the boot shots where they pick an item ( eg Partridge style period copper coloured sports holdall) and carefully position it in each boot. Gives a sense of relative size I guess.

One of the mags (cant remember which - it might even have been Which?!) used to have test luggage, all squared up to represent actual cubeage. Motor Sport used to judge glove box sizes with a Rolleiflex camera.
