Six-cylinder Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 No it was not Ian of this parish but an imposter in his town. Lucky this chap had no beard to distinguish them apart.
Six-cylinder Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 Surely this could have been bad enough to be a Dollywhobbler car! brickwall, Skizzer, mouseflakes and 4 others 7
purplebargeken Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Hey hey! Dolly love, sorry Dollymite love as opposed to some kind of blow up doll sex thing.
trigger Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Hey I saw this shitty Maverick in Devil's Bridge last week, I wondered if it's Ians old one? Edit - I've just googled and it is his old one! outlaw118 1
Six-cylinder Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Well spotted trig, I think I saw that as well. Poor Dolywhobbler, thinks he goes to hide in darkest Wales and it looks like we are stalking him. It,s not true I liked his local hotel even before I knew where he lived. I visit the hotel in Devil's Bridge annually for a Lads classic car tour but "the Lads" consider it Uncool to ride the little trains so this year I have gone back with a rail fan visiting from the USA just to do that! Car of choice was the Xantia V6 for the trip, turns out to be a good one, good size but still ok with the narrow bits, good ride, with a bit of power for overtaking and still managed 30mpg. mouseflakes, M'coli, KruJoe and 2 others 5
dollywobbler Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Should I be concerned? You should have said you were passing through Trig! I'm not keen on visitors to the house, mainly because of the state it's in, but could have nipped out for a brew. trigger 1
trigger Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 To be honest I had hardly any signal all week and I was with the in laws too although I did keep an eye open for a white Rover hooning about. I also spotted a blue or black 2CV Van on a old M plate drive pass the Hafod Hotel whilst I was having a cup of coffee outside, anyone you know?
dollywobbler Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 The van is blue and lives locally. I've never managed to meet the owner! He is a strange old boy by all accounts. Seems unlikely. 2CVers are usually such sane folk. trigger 1
