155V6 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Great pictures, the Renault 8 reminded me of what my Dad used to tell me when he used to run them,"they were the 1st mass produced car with discs all round"
VWPowered Posted November 24, 2008 Author Posted November 24, 2008 i think as the AX sales were slowling down they tried fitting plastic kits to smarten the dated design..sadly this looks like it didnt come from from AX as it have round arches and of cause the rear of the AX have squared off arches...why they did that i'll never know but yes one of the first things i spotted too.. michiel, brought in holland by a englishman and his dutch wife the fiestas been cubed no it havent actually it could have as i havent seen it again....

155V6 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 That D-Series looks out of place amongst all the others ,surprised me how many of those cars my Dad had over the years-Citroen Light 15,Simca Aronde,Peugeot 403(I thought the filler cap behind the tail light was so cool )Renault Estafette,16,18,4(but not 12 )he had at least one of each of those.
VWPowered Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 cant remeber my dad every having a french car just the normal 'at the time' harlds, vitesses, bond equipes, VX's, crestas, trannies and CF's and the like..had a mighty fine 100A deeply miss that car was so funky.. a Activan which the doors feel off due the rust content would be intresting to know why the D series and Galion were taken off the road as neither have serious rust issues
