Yes Renault was shaking its arse in the 60's 40 years before the Megane 2!

 

Down in the automible museum in reims is this beauty (along with the aluminium 504, and a Citroen Bi-Rotor lump amongst over things!)

The roof reminds me of one of those Presidential Citroen DS's.

Interesting but I think Renault made the right decision by not releasing it as a 'Sedan'. As it's a prototype the paint work would be less than perfect - take a wonder around Gaydon at some of the BL prototypes and the finishing on some of the cars is pretty poor.....I could say something about the coverage and even-ness of paint on some of the actual production cars, but I won't.

I like that a lot. I was expecting it to look like a 12 but actually looks a bit more like the Spanish Siete instead IMO.But then if Renault had decided to make this then one of my favourite cars, the 12 would probably never have been produced.
